The attraction wait times during the last few Mickey’s Not So Scary Parties have been astonishingly low! Lower wait times means less crowds. Is this a trend that will continue through fall, or just an anomaly? Subscribe now to keep an eye on this trend and get the inside scoop from our late September trip!
My Disney fam and I are planning for our upcoming trip in late September/early October, which will include a Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party. The last time I attended a Mickey’s Not So Scary was 10 years ago!
*insert scream from Haunted Mansion pre show*
Now that is a scary thought.
Anyways, we are trying to wrangle up a game plan for the evening. It can be quite a challenge to “do it all” at the Halloween party. Between both showings of Boo to You, the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, Happy Hallowishes and the attractions with cool Halloween upgrades, there is plenty to do and so little time!
How to Plan for Your Party
One Disney variable that is very helpful in party planning is knowing the anticipated attraction wait times. Now, I am able to guesstimate approximate wait times of most attractions on an average day like it’s NBD. But, parties, are a whole different story.
Not only have crowds been light for early fall, they are also distributed differently at parties due to all the shows and entertainment that are jam-packed into one evening. Also, certain attractions, such as Space Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean and Mad Tea Party and Haunted Mansion, all have special Halloween effects during the party, so you will definitely want to check those out during your party.
So, I thought the most practical way to know the anticipated attraction wait times during the Halloween party was to start doing some actual research.
So, I give you this handy Excel doc: 2018 Mickey’s Not So Scary Attraction Wait Times
Hopefully this will be helpful for planning when you should hit which attractions. Now, I’m updating this as a google sheet in real time as more party data rolls in. So if you have a Gmail account, you can view up-to-the-second data on my Google sheet.
Otherwise, subscribe at the top of this page to be emailed new versions of the data weekly. We haven’t hashed out our party touring plan yet, but once we do, I will share it with you first!
